The State Administration for Market Regulation Guides Local Authorities to Strengthen Beer Food Safety Supervision
On July 25, the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) reported that the SAMR is guiding local authorities across China to strengthen food safety supervision of beer.As summer arrives, the beer economy continues to heat up. To ensure food safety for consumers during the summer season, the SAMR has instructed local market regulation departments to intensify routine supervision of beer production and operations, increase the frequency of sampling and monitoring, and urge beer producers and operators to strictly fulfill their primary food safety responsibilities. This includes strengthening quality and safety management of raw materials and production processes, enhancing risk control measures in areas such as cleaning and sanitizing equipment and tools, and making every effort to protect the public’s “summer food safety at the tip of the tongue.”
